10/18/2007 - Jon Anderson is pleased to announce a set of solo shows in Europe.

Below are the scheduled dates/venues, more show announcements are expected shortly:

7/21/2007 - A while back, we posted a message calling on keyboard players to contact us if they were interested in collaborating with Jon. The response was tremendous, and as a result Jon is currently working with a number of excellent musicians on some exciting new musical projects.

Jon was so delighted by all the outstanding artists who responded to the call that he is now inviting additional "Symphonic and World Music keyboard players and orchestrators" to submit samples of their work for possible collaboration.

Jon has also started work on three large-scale choral projects and a work he calls a "rap opera", so he has expanded his search to talented choral singers and rap producers as well!

If you are a keyboard player OR a choral singer (male or female) OR an experienced rap producer and you're interested in working with Jon, please send a sample of your work to jon.anderson.webmaster@gmail.com following these guidelines:

1. MP3 File Format, GOOD QUALITY recording.

2. No longer than 1 minute in length (you can make it part of one piece, or a collage of parts from different works if you'd like.)

3. File size no larger than 2MB

4. Music/singing/rap only, PLEASE NO SPOKEN MESSAGES TO JON!

Audio files that meet these criteria will be compiled for Jon to review. If Jon is inspired by what he hears, we'll be in touch - it's as simple as that!

NOTE - If you had submitted work the first time around and didn't hear back, feel free to submit something new... but PLEASE DO NOT re-submit the same work again - it has already been reviewed. Thanks!

5/30/2007 - Sirius Satellite Radio subscribers can catch a two-part Jon Anderson Progressions Special on "The Vault" (Channel 16).

The special will feature music and new interviews with Jon, and will run Wednesday, May 30th and Thursday, May 31st at 11 p.m. EST.

The new Jon Anderson box set, "The Lost Tapes" is now available! The box set was over one year in the making and includes remarkable recordings from throughout Jon's extensive career.

10/23/2006 - In celebration of his birthday, Jon will take over Sirius Disorder (Channel 24) on Sirius Satellite Radio this Wednesday, October 25th, beginning at 5PM EST. Jon will spin a selection of his favorite songs by other artists, and discuss them with radio legend and Sirius personality Meg Griffin.

10/16/2006 - After more than 20 years of anticipation from fans around the world, Jon Anderson’s renowned album, Animation, is officially available on CD.

Originally released in mid-1983, Animation boasts some of Jon’s most stunning and hauntingly beautiful solo works, including Olympia, Animation, Surrender, and All in a Matter of Time. In addition to the original nine Animation tracks, this re-issue contains two bonus tracks: Spider, which was the B-side of the original Surrender single; and the never-before-released track, The Spell, which was an outtake from the Animation recording sessions. All of Animation’s music has been meticulously re-mastered and has never sounded more vibrant, full of energy, alive, or fresh.

Also included as part of this very special re-issue are the complete lyrics to the nine original Animation tracks, as well as short stories and anecdotes from Jon Anderson himself, talking about Animation and most of its tracks. 09/22/2006 - Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman are pleased to confirm that most of the dates for their originally announced "Anderson Wakeman" U.K. Tour will proceed. They have issued this statement:

Dear Friends:

Now that problems concerning the tour have finally been overcome, we are pleased to announce that our October UK Tour 2006 will be going ahead as planned.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, two of the dates have had to be canceled:

5th October - Doncaster
6th October - Glasgow

Additionally, the Folkstone date has been moved to the 26th of October.

Our thanks to those of you who had patience while our representatives straightened things out. You are the true friends of our music.

09/22/2006 - Last month, Jon put out the call for Symphonic and World Music keyboard players and orchestrators to contribute to an array of musical projects he is planning.

Well, the response has been overwhelming - we've been flooded with hundreds of e-mails in response! To those who responded, thank you for your patience and you'll shortly receive instructions on how to submit a sample of your work.

In the meantime, we ask that no more submissions be sent for now. Thanks!

08/30/2006 - UPDATE: Jon's appearance on The Howard Stern show was a blast, we hope everyone heard it! You can find a rundowns and pictures of the show on HowardStern.com and another rundown on MarksFriggin.com (scroll down a bit). We took some pix too, which we'll post here soon.

08/14/2006 - Jon will appear this Wednesday, August 16th, on the Howard Stern Show, which is heard by millions of subscribers on Sirius Satellite Radio. Jon is currently scheduled to be on the air at around 8:30 AM EST, but due to the free-wheeling nature of the Stern show this time is approximate. Expect some surprises!

5/21/2005 - Jon Anderson is pleased to announce that he is bringing his acclaimed SOLO Work In Progress Tour Of The Universe to Europe (and Israel) starting this September.

Following the same format that delighted U.S. audiences last year, Jon will play solo selections as well some Yes classics. Between songs, he will tell stories and perhaps even answer a few questions!

4/20/2005 - Jon is slated to appear at Harmony Festival 2005, which will be held on June 11th and 12th in Santa Rosa, CA . George Clinton and many other performers are also on the bill. Jon is currently scheduled to appear Sunday the 12th at 2:30PM. The full festival schedule can be found here.  (Update - we are told that Kitaro, originally scheduled to appear, has cancelled.)

Jon will also perform at the Hollywood opening of the documentary "Rock School". Jon perfomed the Yes classic "Heart of the Sunrise" on the soundtrack for the film, which is set to open on June 3rd. No further details about the opening are available at this time. As we get more info, it will be posted here.

3/15/2005 - Jon is scheduled to sing the National Anthem this Saturday, March 19th at the Phoenix International Raceway, to kick off the IRL IndyCar® Series XM Satellite Radio Indy 200 race "Speed Jam" event. After the race, the Grammy Award-winning band Velvet Revolver will perform in concert.

3/3/2005 - On February 4th, Jon presented the award for "Most Creative Stage Production" to the team responsible for Prince's tour at the 16th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. Photos of Jon at the ceremony, held at the at The Wiltern LG in Los Angeles, can be found here, here and here.

1/13/2005 - Jon and Rick Wakeman have both contributed to an all-star charity single titled "Grief Never Grows Old", to benefit victims of the recent Indian Ocean disasters. The song is written by radio personality Mike Read and performed under the name "One World Project".

The single is scheduled for release in the U.K. on January 24th by Universal Music, with a possible U.S. release the following week. All proceeds go to the U.K.-based Disaster Emergency Committee.

Appearing with Jon and Rick are Robin and Barry Gibb (Bee Gees), Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones), Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys, Russell Watson, Kenney Jones (Small Faces/The Who), Cliff Richard, Chicago, Steve Winwood, America, Gary Moore, and Boy George.

The single is produced by Steve Levine with recording sessions in Miami, London, Los Angeles & New York. Two other versions of the song will appear on the single featuring The National Childrens Orchestra, (recorded at Abbey Road Studios) and The Children's Choir of Sri Lanka (recorded in Colombo, Sri Lanka).

1/1/2005 - This Wednesday (1/5) at 8:30 pm PST, Jon will appear on the syndicated call-in radio show Rockline with host Bob Coburn. Click here for a list of stations carrying the show. You can also listen live over the Internet via links provided on the Rockline site. Call 1-800-344-ROCK during the show to ask Jon a question!

On Friday, Jan. 7th, Jon will appear at the XM Radio booth at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We are awaiting the exact time for Jon's appearance. It will be posted here as soon as we get it.

11/11/2004 - A request from Jon:

10/30/2004 - On October 25th, Jon celebrated his 60th birthday. The Notes from the Edge team put together an online "Card" for fans everywhere to sign. For the few days that the card was available to sign, the response was overwhelming - nearly 2400 fans from around the globe sent their best wishes to Jon for a Happy Birthday!

Udpated 03/25/2004 - The U.S. East Coast and Souh American legs of the Jon Anderson SOLO - Work In Progress Tour Of The Universe 2004 are now history.

Fans were delighted as Jon played music, told stories and answered questions for donations to Unicef*. You can click Here to see pictures from the tour East Coast leg of the tour.

Jon plans to bring his solo show to other locations in the future, including the West Coast of the U.S. Stay tuned for details.
