During recording sessions for the second "Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe album", ABWH and the remaining Yes band members agree to join forces, and contribute to a joint Yes album under the supervision of producer Jonathan Elias.

Yes embark on a year-long tour the U.S., Europe and Japan. Dubbed "'Round The World In 80 Dates", the tour supporting "Union" features the revival of "in the round" staging to accommodate the eight-member supergroup - with Jon, once again, at the center of the action.

Summer-Autumn 1992

Jon provides guest vocals on the "Dream" release by Japanese New Age artist Kitaro.

Jon joins Kitaro on a short Autumn tour of the U.S., Japan & Thailand, where they perform for the Thai queen.

Spring 1993
After two warm-up shows in California, Jon tours the Caribbean and South America.


"I was so grateful to tour with Deborah and Jade.  They did back-up vocals.  I was able to play for the first time in Chile, Venezuala, Mexico and Costa Rica."


Early Summer 1993
Jon provides guest vocals on violinist Charlie Bisharat's release, "Along The Amazon"

July 8th, 1993
Jon meets his future wife, Jane Luttenberger.

Mid to Late 1993
Jon joins Rabin, Squire, White and Kaye to record
the next Yes album. All of the music is recorded to hard disk in Rabin's computer studio system.

February, 1994
Jon's guest vocals are featured on Brazilian artist Milton Nascimento's release, "Angelus".

Yes - "Talk" is released.

Jon records his next solo release
in Big Bear, CA and Kampo Studio, New York.

CD is released. As the title implies, it is Jon's Deseo CD, remixed by various artists.

Mid July, 1995
Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman agree to rejoin Yes
after a meeting with Jon, Chris and Alan in Los Angeles. The newly reformed Yes issue a statement describing how, in 1974, they had all signed an agreement to unite in 1995 to "take the band and its fans into the 21st century and beyond."


"Again I had a better understanding with everyone in Yes.  We all agreed to work hard for each other.  Chris was in good health and the only problem was, Rick not being there enough... oh well! "


October, 1995
Yes begin rehearsals and recording sessions for a new album in San Luis Obispo, California.


December, 1995

Yes play 3 live shows at the Fremont Theatre in San Luis Obispo. Hard-core fans fly from around the world to attend. The shows are recorded and videotaped for live release.

Jon's "The Lost Tapes Of Opio" is released
as a limited edition for members of Jon's Opio Foundation.

Jon's guest vocals are featured on the self-titled release of Mexican folk group Cielo Y Tierra.

Rick Wakeman leaves Yes.


"Unfortunately, we never seem to learn.  Again, we were left hanging for a long time by Rick, he had his problems.  Very sad time."


Spring 1997

After hearing some local celtic musicians, Jon asks them to join him on a project. He records his next solo release at The Frog 'n Peach Pub in San Luis Obispo, California.

Jon marries Jane Luttenberger in Maui, Hawaii.


"I was very happy living in S.L.O. with my soulmate Jane!  But I had to keep busy musically.  I love Celtic music and it was just plain fun to do this work!"

Jon's "The Promise Ring" is released
, a Celtic-flavored collection paying tribute to Jon's Irish heritage.

Long-time Yes side-man, producer, engineer, and guitarist Billy Sherwood joins Yes.

Yes enter the studio
to work on their next project.

Russian-born virtuoso Igor Khoroshev is hired by Yes as supporting keyboard player after Jon hears his audition tape.

This is a collection of songs Jon recorded while vacationing in Hawaii.

Yes enter Armoury Studio
in Vancouver, BC, Canada to rehearse and record their next album, under the supervision of legendary producer Bruce Fairbairn.

May 17, 1999

Bruce Fairbairn dies of natural causes.
His body is discovered by Jon, who traveled to Fairbairn's home after the producer failed to appear at the studio for a mixing session.


"A rare moment in my life.  Bruce became such a good friend and we all miss him."


June, 1999

Jon's vocals are featured in a song by Contemporary Christian artists 4Him
on a compilation CD titled "Streams".


"I was asked to sing the chorus on this song; I was in my good friend Robin Crow's studio that day."


July, 1999

Jon's guest vocals are featured on Steve Howe's release, "Portraits Of Bob Dylan".




September, 1999

Yes tour South America and Mexico.

Yes -"The Ladder" is released
. The CD includes the song "Homeworld", which is featured in the video game of the same name.
